Killian Quigley

I'm a 4th-year ABD PhD candidate in the Departmet of English at Vanderbilt. My dissertation focuses on English and Irish literature from the late seventeenth to the early nineteenth century. I am primarily interested in the complex ways that literature, visual art, and science work together to inform the way we understand challenging ecological phenomena. I think these questions have great contemporary relevance: how, for instance, does one effective "represent" climate change? I teach introductory-level writing courses in the English department, and, through my work at the CFT, have learned a great deal about integrating technology in the classroom. However, I am still working to conceptualize digital scholarship's potential role in my own research.
